Zutons’ Dave McCabe has appeared in court and denied infringement nose man during a fight outside a nightclub.
The singer, 29, wrote the song Valerie which later became a worldwide hit when it was covered by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse.
He was convicted at Liverpool Crown Court struck Peter Appleby in the incident outside a nightclub in the heart of Cow Liverpool in February last year.
McCabe, Vale Road, Liverpool, pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.
He was granted unconditional bail until his trial on September 20.
