the video game fair will bring the La Monnerie complex to life, La Fleche (Sarthe), Saturday, 11/26/2022. The event is worth the detour and we’ll tell you why.
1 – To test new features
The organizers (the Community of Communes des Pays fléchois via the multimedia space and Anthony Cocain, author of the blog insert-coin.fr) of 7th edition of the Video Game Show want to be “up to date” and offer during the event organized in the La Monnerie complex newly released games.
examples? The last Pokemon (Scarlet and Violet) or the last Just Dance, which is expected to be released on November 22, 2022!
These games, like many others, will be tested in Free Access Space, where Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series meet. “One zone will be specially dedicated to Just Dance 2023,” announces Anthony Cocain.
Also to discover: an immersion in the world of virtual reality!
2 – Meet “professionals”.
This new installment of the show, which a sixty consoles overall promises to be “expanded” in animations. So these are six guests that are announced, including two professional players: RZA (Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball FighterZ…) and Mr Crimson (Street Fighter V). Interview, demonstrations, autograph session and photo session are on the program.
The public will also be able to meet 1Tlau, a fan of Speed Run (exercise that consists in finishing a video game as quickly as possible), Padg, voice actor in video games, and two authors: Nicolas Deneschau and Romain Dasnoy.
3 – To measure your level in tournaments
This year, a “real tournament area” with “emblematic games” will be set up in the La Monnerie complex, informs Cédric Forgeard, head of the digital support service.
With the help of the Angers eSport Club it will be possible to register for it four tournaments : Fortnite, Gran Turismo 7, Rocket League and League of Legends.
4 – To find legendary games
While giving pride of place to new releases, the Video Game Show also knows how to reserve a spot for legendary games, with a retrogaming room. “Thirty consoles from the 80’s to the 2000’s are offered for free,” explains Anthony Cocain.
5 – Spending time with family
The event, which is open to all target groups, aims to bring people together. “Most of the games are accessible to the youngest. This is an opportunity to create parent-child interactions,” confirm the organizers.
This show is a festive and educational gathering that aims to bring together the widest possible audience.
On site, a prevention area will welcome visitors. Schools (eSports studies, digital arts and webschool) and studios present their training and creations.
A taste of cinema
Le Kid cinema is organizing a preamble to the video game fair on Saturday 19 November. A conference debate will be offered at 10am on the theme of “Taming the Screen and Coming of Age”. It will be moderated by Hélène Blondel from the collective 3/6/9/12. And from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. you can play Mario Kart with the family in the cinema. Everything is free.
The toy library “Terre de jeux” and of course the multimedia room La Flèche will also be part of the celebration. There is also a taste of the family spirit in the cinema on November 19 (see box).
The show promises once again to shine beyond the borders of the Sarthe. During the best editions it attracted up to 3,500 visitors.
