Discover Paldea in a long gameplay video

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are due in a few weeks, and we’re already figuring out the names and faces of the ninth generation of Pokémon. The good news of the day is that we can see some of them in the new game trailer.

[Mis à jour le 06 octobre 2022 à 16h19] In just a few weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the new Paldea region in Pokémon Purple and Pokémon Crimson. The next two games from The Pokémon Company bring us the ninth generation of our favorite little companions, about which we already know some new details. Indeed, once again at the controls, Game Freak offers us a completely new gameplay presentation of these next two versions that therefore take us to the Paldea region. We can see new content there, which we decode in detail in the article just below.

The next two Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple games will take place in the Paldea region. Inspired by the Mediterranean coast, this new land is the natural habitat of entirely new Pokémon. You start there as a student at Paldea Academy as a member of the Treasure Hunt program. Embark on a long day of learning, encounters, and discovery on the region’s roads as you complete your Pokédex, catch Pokémon, and engage in battles of all kinds.

There are several endemic processes in Paldea that will affect the battles, such as teracrystallization. In battle, your Pokémon has the ability to Teracrystallize, which boosts abilities tied to its Teracrystallization type. An additional mechanic that allows you to turn the tide during a poorly started confrontation. But that’s not all, you also have the opportunity to find shiny Pokemon in the wild, which have the possibility to crystallize in battle, giving you a much more difficult challenge. Each Pokemon can have a random Teracrystallization type among the 18 different types in play.

In addition to teracrystallization, these two new versions of Pokémon will introduce some new gameplay features. In particular, we can see the new feature called Forward, which allows you to command your partner Pokemon to fight a wild Pokemon or pick up an object. A feature that will save you a lot of time. Speaking of saving time, do you happen to know what the secret function of Miraidon, the Legendary Violet Edition Pokemon, is? Well, it’s simply a question of using a motorbike that allows you to move around the streets of Paldea at full speed.

Koraidon, the legendary Pokemon of the Scarlet version, also has a movement function, swapping the motocross style for a more classic horse, but no less fast. That’s not all, we also got a glimpse of a new activity in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that comes in the form of Team Star’s basic attack. These Gougnafiers will be your rivals throughout the adventure and have different bases in the four corners of Paldea. You have the opportunity to conquer these bases by defeating all the Minion Pokémon, thanks in particular to the use of the Forward ability, which allows for an almost real-time battle. But that’s not all, you must also have fought the boss of each base in ultimate battles that we haven’t been able to see the pictures of yet, and that’s a good thing.

It’s a long-awaited feature arriving in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the opportunity to travel the world of Paldea in multiplayer. A co-op mode will be available in both Pokémon versions and will accommodate up to four players. You therefore have the opportunity to go on a Tera Crystal Raid with your friends to fight against very strong Tera Crystal Pokémon. The game will remain primarily a solo game where you can discover the mysteries of Paldea, battle Titan Pokémon, become the champion of the arenas, or even kick Team Star’s ass all by yourself.

If you’ve wanted to mix up your first few hours of play in 9G’s new Pokémon games, this is something to celebrate. There will be three new starters who are none other than Poussacha, Coiffeton and Chochodile. Our three little comrades offer us a new way to discover the new world of these ninth generation Pokémon games. And there’s no question of getting away from it. Poussacha is a Grass-type Pokémon, while Coiffeton is a Water-type Pokémon and Chochodile is a Fire-type Pokémon.

Whoever says new Pokémon generation also says new legendary Pokémon. We will of course find these fabulous beasts in the two versions Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Koraidon will be the Scarlet version’s Legendary Pokemon, while Miraidon will be the Purple version’s. We also saw three new Pokémon in this trailer, in the persona of Olivini (Plant), Gourmelet (Normal), and Pohm (Electric), all as cute as the others. Find all information on Official Pokemon website.

Eight names can be pulled from all this excitement to make the first Generation 9 Pokédex. A Pokédex that undoubtedly needs to be completed so that Olim and Turum, your two new teachers, can discover it just below. For now, let’s focus on the new Pokémon in the Pokédex:

  • Miraidon
  • Koraidon
  • pushed
  • barber
  • Chochodile
  • pohm
  • gourmet
  • olives
  • Motorizard
  • Girafarig (evolves into Farigiraf)

Motorizard is the latest addition to this new generation! Revealed in a Pokémon Scarlet multiplayer gameplay trailer, this large lizard is a Normal- and Dragon-type Pokémon. . it measures 1.6m and weighs 63kg. It belongs to the category of Pokémon mount. He may have the talent moult. It is described as follows: “This Pokémon has been present in the homes of Paldea since ancient times. He has a gentle temper and it is not uncommon for him to carry people on his back. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all, because the body heat of the people he’s wearing protects him from the cold. It can run 120 km/h with a human on its back. Its extremely robust head and flexible tail not only serve as a balance and shock absorber when running, but also enable it to attack skillfully. during fights.

For the first time in the history of the Pokémon games, your protagonists can meet two different teachers depending on the version of the game: Turum is the purple version’s teacher, while Olim is the scarlet version’s teacher. Of course, apart from a few lines of dialogue, they shouldn’t offer very different content from one version to another. A matter of taste, as is so often the case when choosing between the two variants.
