Gaming News PlayStation Plus: October 2022’s “free” PS5 and PS4 games

After a month of hunting with NFS Heat but also photography with TOEM, the PlayStation Plus is back with a packed program for the month of October.

In just a few days from either Tuesday, October 4, 2022, around 5 p.m., players who subscribe to PS + Essential or higher formulas (Extra or Premium) will be able to download three new productions for free. Yes, the service offers to go on guard with Hot Wheels Unleashed, let the law rule at the controls of Superman with Injustice 2, or draw faster than his shadow in SuperHot. In other words, you are spoiled for choice.

Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS4/PS5)

Let’s race on plastic tracks at top speed! You understand, Hot Wheels unleashed, is the star of October. The latter, available in both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, offers players the opportunity to collect small cars with shiny paintwork to face a whole series of challenges. Committed to the Hot Wheels franchise, the various vehicles are obviously miniaturized and traverse everyday environments such as a garage, a teenage bedroom or even a kitchen.

Injustice 2 (PS4/PS5)

Register change with injustice 2, the production of NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat 11)! So let’s put the little cars aside to let the fists do the talking through this particularly violent fighting game that embodies Batman and all his friends to stop Superman’s titanic fury. For the occasion, many heroes and anti-heroes are on board with The Flash, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Brainiac, Green Lantern and Green Arrow. As long as you’re willing to shell out a few bucks for the Season Pass, note that the Ninja Turtles are also in the game, like Hellboy or Black Manta, for a total of 41 playable fighters.

SuperHot (PS4/PS5)

We’re ending the PS+ Essential October sales with super hot, a shooter like no other. In this minimalist FPS, players must control their shots as well as their movements and time management. In fact, if everything slows down while the player remains motionless, time will speed up at breakneck speed if they decide to move. Therefore, in order to complete the many paintings, you must think about your future actions, and then act. Everything is obviously compatible with PlayStation 4, but also PlayStation 5.

What is PlayStation Plus?

What are the 3 PS Plus offers?

The PlayStation Plus consists of three tiers: Essential (€8.99/month), Extra (€13.99/month) and Premium (€16.99/month). The former offers the same advantages as the old PS Plus (play online, save to the cloud, games included every month, exclusive discounts via the PlayStation Store). The second also benefits from a catalog of around 400 PS4 titles | PS5. And the third, in addition to retro software (PSP, PS1, PS2, PSP), adds remote reading of a selection of games thanks to streaming and – importantly – demos to test a handful of blockbusters.

Depending on your subscription, you won’t have access to the same games. PlayStation Plus Essential entitles you to the PS Plus Collection (PS5 only) and monthly titles. The perk gives you access to a PS4 Catalog | PS5 of around 400 apps. And with Premium, you get almost 340 retro games, stream PS3 titles and demos.
