Kanye West hosted a show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday.

Kanye West hasn’t stopped talking about him since arriving in Paris. The rapper first caused a stir when he opened the Balenciaga fashion show this Sunday, October 2nd. The next day he hosted his own fashion show for his brand Yeezy. Many stars have also made the journey, including Anna Wintour, the goddess of fashion. However, his show caused controversy on social media after pictures of him wearing a black long sleeve shirt with the following message posted online: ‘White Lives Matter’. A reference to the “Black Lives Matter” slogan that went viral on social media and at the demonstrations following the death of American George Floyd. Internet users therefore expressed their anger at Kanye West, including famous model Gigi Hadid.

On Monday night, after the show, Vogue American journalist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson decided to share her take on Kanye West’s show: “The t-shirts that this man designs, produces and shares with the world are pure violence,” she wrote on her Instagram story. She also explains that she’s furious with the rapper: “There’s no excuse, there’s no art here. “Following his comments, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband attacked the journalist. In a now-deleted post, he wrote that she was “not a fashion person.” An attack that didn’t please Gigi Hadid at all, who decided to speak for her part on Instagram. In the comments to Kanye West’s post, she wrote, “Wish you had a percentage of his intellect. You have no idea haha… If any of your shit is interested, she might be the only person who could save you. As if the ‘honor’ of being invited to your show should keep anyone from speaking out,” she wrote. She concludes: “You are a bully and a prankster. Since then, many people have supported Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, and Kanye West wrote in a new Instagram post that he has settled his differences with the journalist and that everything is fine between them now.
